Synopsis :
The story begins when Lee Mong-ryong (played by Jae Hee) is transferred from Seoul to a high school in
Namwon, North Jeolla Province. Chun-hyang (played by Han Chae-young) does her best to help Mong-ryong, her first love and the son of the Namwon Police Station chief, to enter a prestigious university. However, after meeting with Mong-ryong's first love, Chae-rin, Mong-ryong's love toward Chun-hyang is shattered, although Chun-hyang's love remains unwavering.



One day, Byun Hak-do, CEO of a famous entertainment company, appears in her life. He exudes confidence that he can make any woman fall for him. But as Chun-hyang shows no interest in him, his self-esteem is damaged profoundly. Byun Hak-do is determined to make her love him.

My rating : 8/10

My comment :
This drama is a bit draggy in its middle episodes. The best are the first few when Chun Hyang and Mong-ryong were in high school and getting into troubles. And the episodes when they started the dating process after their marriage gotten into some personal problems.

Great Inheritance aka Kindergarten Love (Korean drama)

Synopsis :

Kang Hyun Se (played by Kim Jae Won) is a gangster of the Han Ban Do group inherits a kindergarten after his estranged mother dies from a heart attack. With an intention to sell the Maru Kindergarten he comes to terrorize the staff only to learn that he has to work as kindergarten teacher for a span of 100 days to gain legal ownership.

Meanwhile, a development firm called NK plans to buy off the kindergarten's property and begin construction on a project named Rainbow Park, an amusement park for children. Rainbow Park is a dream project of one manager named Jung Il Do, who mentors a young graduate from America, Manager Choi Shi Wan who incidentally shares a past with Yoo Mi Rae.

The Han Ban Do group, headed by one named So Dong Pa, however, convinces Kang Hyun Se to complete his mother's conditions, and after the 100-day period, turn over the kindergarten to the gang's control. This would force NK into giving So Dong Pa a seat into its executive board.

Kang Hyun Se reluctantly endures teaching at the kindergarten, inevitably falling for Mi Rae and the lovable children.

My rating : 8/10

My comments : Love all the kids in this drama, particularly "Miss Bully". She's so adorable yet fierce! (just like me. :-P)

Choi Shi Wan played by Kim Ji Hoon (left). He is the bad guy in this drama. For a bad guy, he is so good looking *wink*wink*

Dalja Spring (Korean drama)

Synopsis :

‘Dalja’s Spring’ is the story of Oh Dal Ja (played by Chae Rim), a 33-year old single at a crossroad of whether to remain single or get married before she gets older. The drama aims to comically and candidly portray the reality and undying pursuit of romance of a thirty something single woman.

Dal Ja is a promising home shopping channel managing director. She owns a house and a car thanks to a career driven life. She’s interested in men but is a disaster on real dates. She’s a professional in work but a novice in love. She begins a dreamy love affair with flirtatious coworker Shin Sedo (played by Kong Hyeong Jin) but is enraged to find out about his infidelity. She hires a boyfriend by contract, Kang Tae Bong (played by Lee Min Ki), to seek revenge on Sedo.

The love triangle of Dal Ja, Tae Bong and Eom Gi Joong (played by Lee Hyeon Woo) brews conflicts over love vs marriage where Tae Bong, a hunk of six years younger than Dal Ja who freelances as a substitute and becomes Dal Ja's fake dates and boyfriend. Soon he develops feelings for his last client Dal Ja. Gi Joong is the type who dreams of an ideal courtship.

Southern Ridges

Where : Mount Faber, Henderson Waves, Alexandra Arc, HortPark, Kent Ridge
When : 5th July 2008

Heard of the Henderson Waves, but dont know how to get there. Being a person who loves to rambles and loves the nature too much, i just don't like going to Henderson Waves taking a direct bus there...so i walk on foot. Walk up and down steps, earth trails and canopy walk to reach there, and at the same time passing tru all the connecting nature walk that is instore. So i started from Marang Trail and ends at Kent Ridge. It took me 4hrs.

Started from Marang Trail which is opposite Vivo City.

From Marang Trail, it leads me to Mount Faber. The view is so breathtaking...

Hort Park

At HortPark, i saw unique plants and flowers that i dont get to see around Spore. So, here's some that i took a photo of it..

The flowers grew at the end of each fern

Look at the two pictures below... look closely at the how the plants grow from the bark...

HortPark is surely a new experience for me. I have yet to explore more of the area in it. Just too bad that that day my intention is to walk from Mt Faber to Kent Ridge, so i didnt spent much time at HortPark. Will surely visit HortPark again during my free time.
